Meet Sarah Baumert
Sarah Baumert is known for her thorough and diverse instruction and her dedication to holding space for individual personal discovery. She has over 1000 hours of yoga training, studying with master teachers Barbara Benagh, Patricia Walden, Cyndi Lee, Richard Freeman, and Tias Little.
With hands on adjustments she helps her student gain a greater sense of ease and body awareness. She facilitates whole body alignment in her students as a way for them to access balance, strength, mobility and physical clarity. Through sensory rich movement experiments, she guides students in cultivating mindfulness and deepening their learning process.
Her experience includes working with people suffering from chronic pain, injury, illness, and other forms of dis-ease. She works with a variety of populations including athletes, seniors, artists, dancers, children, and those recovering from injury, using pain management, and alignment.
Sarah is certified Yoga Therapist and is currently training to become a Feldenkrais practitioner. Her objective is to acquire the most effective skills for helping her students.

In Sarah’s slow flow classes, you will explore how to use skeletal alignment as a means of generating power and clarity in the poses. Classes begin with a Feldenkrais inspired warm up. This way of beginning will increase your self-awareness and help you to sense the most efficient and easeful way to be in your body. From there, you will move into a more active yoga practice while maintaining this ease and sweetness. This awareness based process will help you to move beyond past habitual movements and learn to initiate from within, even in, those asanas that you find most challenging.
